the way to do this one is to..
1.fill a glass with water
2.get one of those plasticy paper TV guides and put it on top of the glass then hold it there
3.turn the glass upside-down with the guide still on top.Dont use a paper news paper or it will just leak.try experimenting with other stuff you can use. I found laminated stuff works really well,anything that doesnt leak is good
4.then quickly take the TV guide ect and pull it out so the water doesn't spill but the glass is on the surface with no thing under it.

now, unless there are a complete pro like you, they cant get the cup off the table.This trick works really well at restaurants and well really annoy your victim.
